Welcome to the Urban Alaskan! This blog covers all the quirky things about life in Alaska, and what makes this state so exceptional and unique.
A little bit about me (LG!):
I was born and raised in Alaska.
At 8, I decided that I would move to New York.
At 18, I moved to Virginia for college.
At 21, I moved to New York City.
At 27, I decided I needed a change and moved back to Alaska, trading my studio apartment for my parents’ house (at least for now), and the subway for a truck named Bernie. So here I am, working in and for my community. And I love every moment of it!
Only time can tell what happens next!
Nice to have you back in Anchorage LG. I’m glad to read that your cat, Emmy, made the trip with you. I always love getting a Xmas card from you with a picture of your cat each year. Hope to visit with you soon. Rusty’s Mom.
